As more companies produce more British TV shows across an increasing number of services, it can be hard to keep up with what's happening to your favourite shows. So – we put this page together as an easy way to check in on which shows are returning (and when, in cases where the premiere date has been announced). The focus is primarily on scripted programming for adults, so aside from a few very popular shows, we've omitted nonfiction shows and those meant for children.

Where shows have been described as a miniseries or limited series, we've included that information to help in assessing the likelihood of a return. A limited series is generally designed to have an entirely contained story, and it's fairly rare for one to come back for a second season. That said, it has happened – and some limited series shows get spin-offs or anthology-style second seasons.

Due to length, we've divided the index up into three pages, organised alphabetically.
