Ragdoll (2021) – Based on Daniel Cole's novel of the same name, there have been no updates about a second season in the three years since it aired.
Rain Dogs (2023) – The series was cancelled after one season.
Ralph & Katie (2022) – This A-Word spin-off will not be returning, as it was designed to be a single-season story.
Rebel Cheer Squad (2022) – Based on Gretchen McNeil's Don't Get Mad books, this spin-off of Get Even (2020) is expected to return for season 2 at some point, but there have been delays.
Rebus (2024) – Based on Sir Ian Rankin's classic crime series, the latest adaptation has yet to premiere in the US or get a decision on season 2.
Recipes for Love & Murder – Season 2 filmed in 2024, no word on premiere date yet.
The Reckoning (2023) – Limited series based on a true story (so highly unlikely to be renewed). No word on a US streaming outlet.
Red Eye (2024) – While there were early rumours of a renewal, we've yet to see an official announcement. Still no US streaming outlet as of September 2024.
Red Rose (2022) – This limited series is not expected to return.
The Reluctant Traveler (2023) – In June 2024, Apple TV+ renewed this British-Canadian travel series for a third season.
Renegade Nell (2024) – Disney+ canceled the series after season 1.
The Responder (2022) – No word on a third season as of September 2024.
Riches (2022) – Cancelled after one season.
Ridley (2022) – Season 2 was confirmed in summer 2023, premiering in the US on September 15th, 2024. No word on season 3 as of September 2024.
Ridley Road (2022) – Miniseries, not expected to return.
The Rig (2023) – Renewed for season 2 in February 2023, filming took place during summer 2023. As of September 2024, we haven't seen news of a premiere date.
Riptide (2022) – This British-Australian thriller was designed to be a miniseries, so it's not expected to return. No word on a US streaming outlet as of September 2024.
The Rising (2022) – Though initially commissioned for a second season, it was cancelled just two months before production was due to start.
Roadkill (2020) – Miniseries, not expected to return.
Romantic Getaway (2022) – There will not be a second season. No word on a US streaming outlet as of September 2024.
Rosie Malloy Gives Up Everything (2022) – No word on a season 2 or US streaming outlet as of September 2024.
Rough Cut, aka Dal y Mellt (2023) – A second season is expected to premiere at some point in 2024, but as of August 2024, we haven't seen any specifics.
Ruby Speaking (2023) – Cancelled after one season. No word on a US premiere date.
Rules of the Game (2022) – Designed to be a limited series, it's unlikely this one will return.
The Salisbury Poisonings (2020) – True crime limited series, not expected to return.
Sandylands (2020) – Though cast member Sanjeev Bhaskar has indicated that he and fellow cast members have an interest in continuing to a third season (in 2021), we haven't seen any news, updates, or official status updates as of September 2024.
Screw (2022) – Cancelled after season 2.
The Serial Killer's Wife (2023) – Based on Alice Hunter's novel of the same name, we haven't seen any credible announcements about a second season as of September 2024. Though likely a miniseries, we wouldn't go so far as to say there's no chance of a return until we see official confirmation. No word on a US streaming service after Paramount+ pulled many of its regional titles.
The Serpent (2021) – Limited true crime series, not expected to return.
Shakespeare & Hathaway – As of the 24th of September, 2024, the BBC have confirmed that filming for a 5th season is IN PROGRESS! As a side note, co-creator Jude Tindall (who also created Sister Boniface Mysteries) died unexpectedly in August 2024. We're grateful for the wonderful British TV legacy she left behind and we wish all the best for her family and friends.
Shardlake (2024) – Based on the Shardlake novels by CJ Sansom, there has been no announcement about a possible season 2 as of August 2024.
Sherwood (2022) – Season 2 has filmed, expected sometime in 2024.
Shetland – Renewed for seasons 9 and 10 with Ashley Jensen. Season 9 began filming in March 2024, and season 10 will film in 2025. No air dates yet.
Showtrial (2021) – Though originally designed as a limited series, the series has been converted to a “by-the-season” anthology. A second season was ordered, and is expected to air in the UK in late 2024/early 2025. The new season will focus on an entirely new case with new cast members.
Significant Other (2023) – Cancelled after one season. No word on a US premiere.
Signora Volpe (2022) – Season 2 just premiered, no word yet on season 3.
Silent Witness – Renewed for season 28, expected in 2025.
The Singapore Grip (2020) – ITV have confirmed that this is a standalone series with no plans for return. As of September 2024, there are no US streaming options.
The Sister (2020) – Designed as a limited series, there was certainly room for a second season – but cast member Amrita Acharia was interviewed around the original air date and said that while she would love to be part of a second season, there was nothing in the works. Four years later, it doesn't look good.
Sister Boniface Mysteries (2022) – Returning with a feature-length special at Christmas, followed by season 4 in 2025.
Six Four (2023) – Based on Hideo Yokoyama's 2012 novel of the same name (but set in Scotland), ITV have not officially confirmed (as of September 2024) whether there will be a second season.
The Sixth Commandment (2023) – Limited series, not expected to return.
Slow Horses (2022) – Season 4 premiered in September 2024, and the series has been renewed for a fifth season to be based on the fifth book in Mick Herron's series, London Rules.
Small Axe (2020) – Limited collection of short films, not expected to return.
Smothered (2023) – No word on a season 2 or US premiere date as of September 2024.
Somewhere Boy (2022) – No official renewal or cancellation as of September 2024.
A Spy Among Friends (2022) – Based on Ben Macintyre's Kim Philby biography of the same name, the creators have confirmed that this was never intended to be more than a single season.
Staged (2020) – David Tennant has said publicly that there are no plans for a fourth season.
Starstruck (2021) – After three quick seasons that aired between 2021-2023, we've yet to find any official details about a fourth season (as of September 2024).
Stay Close (2021) – Miniseries, not expected to return. Based on the novel of the same name by Harlan Coben.
Steeltown Murders (2023) – Limited series based on a real case in Wales. Not expected to return.
Stephen (2021) (aka Conviction: The Case of Stephen Lawrence) – Limited series, not returning.
Still Up (2023) – Apple TV+ cancelled this one after one season.
Stonehouse (2023) – Created as a limited series, unlikely to return.
The Stranger (2020) – Limited series, not returning.
Strike (2017 to present) (aka CB Strike) – Filming of The Ink Black Heart has wrapped, expect UK air date late 2024/early 2025 and US soon after. No confirmation on filming of The Running Grave.
Stuck (2022) – After getting bumped from its intended premiere date due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the series didn't get a lot of attention and there's never been an official announcement about a second season. Still not available in the US.
Such Brave Girls (2023) – Renewed for season 2 as of May 2024. No premiere date yet.
A Suitable Boy (2020) – Based on Vikram Seth's 1993 novel of the same name, this limited series is not expected to return.
Supacell (2024) – Renewed for season 2 in August 2024.
Suspect (2022) – A second season began in July 2024, premiering in the US on BritBox on October 3rd. No word yet on a third season as of September 2024, but with plenty of open threads at the end of season 2, it seems likely the writers were hoping for another.
The Suspect (2022) – Based on Michael Robotham's 2004 novel of the same name, this limited series is not expected to return.
Suspicion (2022) – Based on the Israeli TV series False Flag (which has 2 seasons), this series was cancelled after one season.
The Teacher (2022) – This four-part limited series is not expected to return. No word on a US premiere date.
Ted Lasso (2020) – Though it was originally stated that season 3 would be the last, a number of cast options were reported as renewed in August 2024, suggesting a fourth season might still be a possibility.
Ten Percent (2022) – Cancelled after one season.
Ten Pound Poms (2023) – The BBC confirmed that season 2 was underway as of early 2024. It's expected to premiere in 2025, but there's no firm date as of September 2024. No word on a US streaming outlet.
The Thief, His Wife, and the Canoe (2022) – Limited series based on a true story, not expected to return.
The Third Day (2020) – Billed as a limited series, this one is not expected to return.
This England (2022) – Limited series, not expected to return.
This is Going to Hurt (2022) – Creator Adam Kay has suggested a season 2 is unlikely unless he can come up with another idea. The show is based on Kay's book about his experiences as a young doctor.
Three Families (2021) – Limited series, not expected to return.
Three Little Birds (2023) – Cancelled after one season.
Three Pines (2022) – Based on Louise Penny's Chief Inspector Armand Ganache novels, this series was cancelled after one season.
Time (2021) – Season 2 premiered earlier this year on BritBox, no word on season 3.
The Time Traveler's Wife (2022) – Based on the Audrey Niffenegger novel of the same name, this series was cancelled after a single season.
Tom Jones (2023) – Limited series based on the classic Henry Fielding novel, not expected to return.
Too Close (2021) – Miniseries based on the Natalie Daniels novel of the same name.
The Tourist (2022) – Originally intended to be a miniseries, this is another one of those rare shows where they decided to go ahead and make a second season. There's been no official word on a season 3 as of September 2024, but star Jamie Dornan has mentioned his schedule is pretty tight for the next few years, so that could limit their ability to film another season.
The Tower (2021) – Though it hasn't officially been renewed for season 4 (as of September 2024), writer Patrick Harbinson has revealed he's already working on material for a fourth season. The series is based on Kate London's book series.
A Town Called Malice (2023) – Cancelled after one season. No word on a US premiere as of September 2024.
Treason (2022) – Designed as a miniseries, not returning.
Trigger Point (2022) – As of September 2024, there's been no news of a third season (following the UK premiere of season 2 in January 2024). Season 2 premiered in the US in September 2024.
Trigonometry (2020) – Miniseries, not expected to return.
Truth Seekers (2020) – Sadly, it was cancelled after one season.
Trying (2020) – Season 4 premiered in May 2024, ending in a cliffhanger. Though star Nikki Newman has mentioned it would be lovely to do a fifth season, we haven't seen an official update as of September 2024.
Two Weeks to Live (2020) – In 2020, star Maisie Williams mentioned she'd love to do a second season, but that she hadn't been contacted about it. As of September 2024, we haven't seen any official renewal or cancellation, so with four years of silence, it's unlikely we'll see further episodes.
The Undeclared War (2022) – Though initially billed as a miniseries, a second series was confirmed and it began filming in summer 2024. As of September 2024, there's no official premiere date for season 2.
Us (2020) – Miniseries, not expected to return.
Van der Valk – Season 4 has premiered in the UK and will premiere on PBS on September 15th. No word on season 5.
Vera – Season 14 filmed in summer 2024. Two 120-minute episodes will bring Brenda Blethyn's time as Vera to a close. At 78, she has certainly earned her retirement – but there have been unconfirmed rumours of a possible spinoff or continuation without her. An 11th Vera novel, The Dark Wives, is available for pre-order ahead of its August 27th US release date.
A Very British Scandal (2021) – Miniseries, not expected to return – but it's a loose follow-up to A Very English Scandal (2018), and A Very Royal Scandal (2024) came after it (premiere date: September 19th, 2024).
Vienna Blood – Season 4 just premiered in the UK, no US date yet.
Vigil (2021) – No official word on a season 3 as of September 2024.
The Walk-In (2022) – Based on the true story of an activist who infiltrated a terrorist group and foiled a plot to murder an MP, this limited series is not expected to return.
The Watch (2021) – With no official announcement after three years, it's not looking good for this one.
We Are Lady Parts – No word yet on season 3.
Wedding Season (2022) – No word yet on a second season.
We Hunt Together – No word yet on season 3.
White House Farm (aka The Murders at White House Farm) (2020) – Miniseries based on a real-life crime, not expected to return.
White Lines (2020) – Cancelled after one season.
Whitstable Pearl (2021) – Renewed for season 3, began filming in spring 2024. No premiere date, but we'd guess late 2024/early 2025.
Who Is Erin Carter? (2023) – Limited series, not expected to return.
Why Didn't They Ask Evans? (2022) – Based on the Agatha Christie novel of the same name, this series is not expected to return.
Wilderness (2023) – Based on the BE Jones novel of the same name, this miniseries is not expected to return.
The Winter King (2023) – Cancelled after one season.
The Witchfinder (2022) – Cancelled after one season. No word on a US streaming outlet.
Without Sin (2022) – Limited series, not expected to return.
Wolf (2023) – As of September 2024, there's no official word on renewal or cancellation.
Wolfe (2021) – Cancelled after one season.
Wolf Hall (The Mirror & the Light) – The final novel in the trilogy began filming in late 2023 and continued into early 2024. It's expected to premiere in the UK in late 2024/early 2025, with a US/PBS date unknown.
The Woman in the Wall (2023) – Creator Joe Murtagh has said that season 1 is the “end of Lorna's story”, but also that there's plenty of room to continue on with additional stories based on the abuses of the Catholic church.
Wreck (2022) – As of August 2024, we've seen no word on a season 3.
You & Me (2023) – No word on a season 2.
You Don't Know Me (2021) – Based on the 2017 novel of the same name by Barrister Imran Mahmood, this limited series is not expected to return.
Yr Amgueddfa (aka The Museum) (2021) – As of September 2024, we haven't been able to find any official updates on renewal or cancellation.
Zero Chill (2021) – Cancelled after one season.
