BritBox, PBS Masterpiece, and Acorn TV are responsible for the majority of the new British TV shows streaming in the US each month – but there are another 5-10 services that frequently offer new British TV premieres, and if British TV isn't your full-time job, it can be hard to keep track of what's coming out. To help, we put this list together each month to make it easy to locate shows which:
- Debuted in the UK or Ireland within the last year or two
- Are premiering in the US in July 2025

Attack on London: Hunting the 7/7 Bombers
This documentary series examines the 2005 London bombings and the three weeks that followed, featuring firsthand accounts from survivors, investigators, and officials. Using interviews and archival footage, it traces the events from the attacks on July 7 through the failed follow-up bombing attempt and the resulting nationwide manhunt. The series includes perspectives from victims’ families, police, government officials, and those connected to both the bombers and the investigation.
Premiered July 1st on Netflix.
The Sandman: Season 2
Following the events of Season 1, this second and final season of the fantasy series—based on the comics by Neil Gaiman, who has recently faced serious allegations of emotional and sexual misconduct—continues the story of Dream (Tom Sturridge, The Hollow Crown). After a pivotal reunion with his family, Dream must navigate a series of impossible choices to protect himself, his realm, and the waking world from the consequences of his past actions.
Returning cast members include Kirby (Killing Eve) as Death, Mason Alexander Park (The Sandman: Act II) as Desire, and Donna Preston (Hard Cell) as Despair. New additions include Adrian Lester (Trigger Point) as Destiny, Esmé Creed-Miles (Pond Life) as Delirium, and Barry Sloane (Revenge) as The Prodigal. The season also features Ruairi O’Connor (The Spanish Princess) as Orpheus, Freddie Fox (White House Farm) as Loki, Clive Russell (Game of Thrones) as Odin, Laurence O’Fuarain (Vikings) as Thor, Ann Skelly (Red Rock) as Nuala, Douglas Booth (The Riot Club) as Cluracan, Jack Gleeson (Out of Her Mind) as Puck, Indya Moore (Pose) as Wanda, and Steve Coogan (Philomena) as the voice of Barnabas.
Premieres July 3rd with Volume 1 (episodes 1-6), July 24th for Volume 2 (episodes 7-11), and July 31st for a bonus episode, all on Netflix.
QI: V
The quiz show QI returns for its V-themed season, covering topics from vegetables to visionaries. Each episode explores subjects beginning with the letter V, offering a wide range of curious facts and challenging questions for returning fans and new viewers alike. All episodes premiere at once.

Madame Blanc Mysteries, Season 4
Season four of The Madame Blanc Mysteries returns to Sainte Victoire, where antiques, murder, and mystery continue to fill the sunny village. Sally Lindsay (Coronation Street) reprises her role as Jean White, who is now exploring a new romance with her friend and colleague Dom Hayes, played by Steve Edge (Starlings).
Sue Vincent (Mount Pleasant) returns as mechanic Gloria Beaushaw. Robin Askwith (Strike) and Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses) are back as the eccentric couple Jeremy and Judith Lloyd James. Alex Gaumond (Derry Girls) once again appears as Chief of Police André Caron. The cast also includes Tony Robinson (Blackadder) as Dom’s uncle Patrick, a small-time thief turned pub landlord, and Paul Chuckle (Elliott) as Trevor, Gloria’s father.

- Episode 1, “Christmas” – Jean and Dom investigate when a puppeteer is murdered after a Christmas Eve performance at a Sainte Victoire market. Meanwhile, Judith receives a card from a former bridesmaid that contains a disturbing truth about her marriage.
- Episode 2, “Beach Club” – When Jeremy and Judith discover the body of a missing CEO inside a dingy with two rare coins placed over his eyes, Caron asks Jean for help in identifying the coin's history. Meanwhile, Patrick looks into some suspiciously expensive wine payments.
- July 14th:
- Episode 3, “Inheritance” – When Charlie's aunt Fifi is mysteriously murdered after an intruder breaks into the shop, Jean tries to find the killer.

Such Brave Girls, Season 2
This comedy series follows sisters Josie (Kat Sadler, Tell Me Everything) and Billie (played by Kat’s real-life sister, Lizzie Davidson), along with their mother Deb (Louise Brealey, Sherlock), as they muddle through life with questionable decisions and a tendency to seek validation from the wrong people. Living in a cramped, run-down home and constantly short on luck, they continue to chase affection at any cost. Fortunately, help might be on the way in the form of Dev (Paul Bazely, Miss Scarlet) and Seb (Freddie Meredith, Andor).
Premieres July 7th on Hulu.
The Ex-Wife, Season 2
Years after the events of the first series, Jen (Janet Montgomery, 1923) is preparing to marry her new partner, Connor (Jake Fairbrother, Skyfall), a welcome contrast to her former husband, Jack (Tom Mison, Sleepy Hollow). Meanwhile, Tasha (Celine Buckens, Showtrial) is working to build a stable life for herself and her daughter in Cyprus, though it hasn't been easy.
When Jack is released early from prison, both women fear the disruption he could bring. He claims to have changed and wants to make amends—but his unresolved feelings for Jen and the truth about Emily (Liberty Miller, Malpractice) may complicate everything.

Too Much
This series follows Jessica (Megan Stalter, Hacks), a 30-something New Yorker who decides to escape her breakup by relocating to London for work. Hoping for solitude and a fresh start, she instead finds herself drawn to Felix (Will Sharpe, Giri/Haji), whose chaotic energy complicates everything.
The cast also features Adele Exarchopoulos (Passages), Adwoa Aboah (Top Boy), Andrew Rannells (Girls5eva), Daisy Bevan (The Alienist), Dean-Charles Chapman (1917), Emily Ratajkowski (Gone Girl), Janicza Bravo (Sharp Stick), Kaori Momoi (The Brightest Roof in the Universe), Leo Reich (Literally Who Cares?!), Michael Zegen (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Prasanna Puwanarajah (The Crown), Rhea Perlman (Cheers), Richard E. The Wild Ones
This docuseries follows a team of wildlife specialists as they travel to some of the world’s most remote and challenging regions in an effort to document and help protect critically endangered species. The team includes expedition leader Aldo Kane, wildlife and camera trap expert Declan Burley, and wildlife cinematographer Vianet Djenguet.
Using advanced camera technology, they capture rare and, in some cases, first-ever footage of elusive animals across six countries: Malaysia, Mongolia, Armenia, Indonesia, Canada, and Gabon. Species featured include the Malayan tiger, Gobi bear, Caucasian leopard, Javan rhino, North Atlantic right whale, and Western lowland gorilla.
Premieres July 11th on Apple TV+.
Pigs (2025 short film)
Bessie Carter (Outrageous) stars alongside Olivia Williams (The Crown) in this short film set during a tense family dinner in London. Laura, the only one not drinking, must confront two uncomfortable truths: she’s stuck at the table with nothing but water, and someone she dreads is about to arrive.
Directed by Julia Jackman (Kid Gloves), the cast also includes Amar Chadha-Patel (Willow), Marlene Sidaway (Mum), and Jim Carter (Downton Abbey). Pigs premiered at the 2024 BFI London Film Festival.
Premieres July 16th on BritBox.
Would I Lie to You? Season 18
This comedy panel show features celebrity guests who must bluff their way through a mix of surprising truths and convincing lies. Two teams compete as each player presents unusual facts or personal stories. The opposing team must then decide whether the statement is true or fabricated.
All twelve half-hour episodes premieres on July 18th on BritBox.
Critical: Between Life & Death
This six-part series takes viewers inside the London Major Trauma System, where NHS teams handle some of the most critical emergencies in the UK. Filmed over 21 days with 40 fixed cameras across hospitals, helicopters, and ambulances, it offers a rare, continuous view of trauma care in action.
From the first call at the scene to the operating theatre and rehabilitation ward, the series follows the full journey of patients and the medical staff who fight to save them—revealing the pressure, precision, and personal toll behind every life-or-death decision. Produced by the team behind 24 Hours in A&E.

Code of Silence (2025)
Code of Silence follows Alison Brooks (Rose Ayling-Ellis, Ludwig), a Deaf canteen worker balancing two jobs and caring for her mother, Julie (Fifi Garfield, Switch). When DS Ashleigh Francis (Charlotte Ritchie, Ghosts) learns of Alison’s lip-reading skills, she’s recruited to help monitor a dangerous criminal gang.
Alison’s involvement in the investigation grows as her interpretations become critical to the case. But when she begins to develop feelings for suspect Liam Bayne (Kieron Moore, Vampire Academy), the lines between duty and personal risk start to blur.
Premieres July 24th on BritBox with two hour-long episodes, with the remaining 4 episodes airing weekly afterwards. An ASL version will premiere at the same time.
Dope Girls
Adapted from Marek Kohn’s nonfiction book Dope Girls: The Birth of the British Drug Underground, this six-part historical drama explores the rise of London’s Soho nightclub scene in the early 20th century. Inspired by real figures, the series follows Irish club owner Kate Meyrick, English stage actress Billie Carleton, and Jamaican jazz musician Edgar Manning as they navigate fame, vice, and shifting social norms during a turbulent era.
The cast includes Julianne Nicholson (Paradise), Eliza Scanlen (Sharp Objects), Umi Myers (Get Millie Black), Eilidh Fisher (The Power), Sebastian Croft (Heartstopper), and Geraldine James (Back to Life).
Premieres July 29th on Hulu.
