18 Brand New British TV Shows Premiering in the US in March 2025

BritBox, PBS Masterpiece, and Acorn TV account for the majority of the new British TV shows streaming each month – but there are another 5-10 services that semi-consistently offer new British TV premieres, and it can be hard to keep track of who has them and when they're coming out. To make it easier, we put this list together each month to make it easy to locate shows which:

  • Premiered in the UK or Ireland within the last year or two
  • Are expected to premiere on this side of the pond in March 2025

This month, we've included an American series, too, because it was created by English writer Anthony Horowitz. Below, we have photos, premiere dates, and descriptions.

Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue

Created by BAFTA nominee Anthony Horowitz (Magpie Murders, Foyle’s War), this thriller follows nine passengers on a light aircraft from Guatemala to the US that crashes in the Mexican jungle. All survive, but with limited supplies, extreme heat, and hidden dangers, tensions rise—especially when they start dying one by one.

As the police investigate, they uncover a mystery: there were ten passports. What happened to the tenth passenger?

The ensemble cast includes Eric McCormack (Will & Grace), David Ajala (Star Trek: Discovery), Siobhán McSweeney (Derry Girls), Lydia Wilson (Flack), and Peter Gadiot (Queen of the South).

Premiered March 2nd on MGM+. New episodes air weekly through April 6th.

Hosted by Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell, this long-running series helps people reconnect with lost family members, uncovering the histories that led to their separation. Each search unravels personal stories, unexpected twists, and emotional discoveries as investigators piece together the past. Lost Boys & Fairies premieres March 4th

Lost Boys and Fairies follows Gabriel (Sion Daniel Young, Slow Horses), a performance artist at Neverland, a nightclub in Cardiff, as he and his partner Andy (Fra Free, Les Misérables) as they work to get a child. As they prepare for parenthood, Gabriel confronts unresolved childhood trauma. The series explores their relationship, the adoption process, and the challenges that arise.

Premieres March 4th on BritBox as a binge.

Douglas is Cancelled premieres March 6th

When a tweet accuses journalist Douglas Bellowes (Hugh Bonneville, Downton Abbey) of making a sexist joke at a wedding, his once-stable career and reputation unravel. As the co-host of a high-profile current affairs show alongside Madeline (Karen Gillan, Doctor Who), Douglas finds himself at the center of a public backlash. 

With support from his editor Toby (Ben Miles, The Crown), wife Sheila (Alex Kingston, Doctor Who), and agent Bentley (Simon Russell Beale, Vanity Fair), he scrambles to contain the fallout. As tensions rise, questions emerge—what really happened, and how is Madeline entangled in the controversy? Written by Steven Moffat (Sherlock), this drama examines the consequences of social media scrutiny and professional reputation.

Premieres March 6th on BritBox, with two episodes weekly for a total of four.

Pia (Simone Ashley, Bridgerton, Sex Education) is a photographer struggling to get her career off the ground when she’s given an unusual prediction—her next five dates will determine both her romantic and professional future. With her sister’s wedding fast approaching and her family eager to set her up, she reluctantly starts ticking off the dates. But just as she begins to navigate this romantic experiment, her ex (Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Cleaning Up, Safe) reappears, throwing her plans into disarray.

A British remake of Australia’s Five Blind Dates, the film also stars Sindhu Vee (The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh), Luke Fetherston (Big Mood), Nikesh Patel (The Devil’s Hour), Adil Ray (Ackley Bridge), and Phil Dunster (Ted Lasso).

Premieres March 6th on Amazon Prime Video.

In this documentary series, Sir David Suchet (Poirot) retraces Agatha Christie's 1922 world tour, exploring the places that shaped her early life and career. At 31, before becoming the world’s best-selling author, Christie spent ten months traveling through South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Hawaii. Along the way, Suchet examines her experiences abroad, offering insights into her personal life beyond her carefully maintained public image. Through this journey, he also explores the historical and cultural context of the British Empire at the time of her travels. 

Premieres March 8th on BritBox as a binge premiere.

Blackshore premieres March 10th

Blackshore (2024)

Set in a remote Irish coastal town, this crime drama follows Detective Fia Lucey (Lisa Dwan) as she returns to her hometown to investigate the murder of a young woman. As she gets deeper into the case, she uncovers all manner of unsavoury secrets within the tight-knit community, forcing her to confront her own past. Also starring Moe Dunford, Stanley Townsend, Rory Keenan, and Éanna Hardwicke, the series weaves together mystery, family conflict, and the darkness lurking beneath the town’s surface.

Episodes will air as follows:

  • March 10th
    • Episode 1 – A police detective (Lisa Dwan, Bloodlands) returns to her hometown and becomes involved in a missing person case, which is linked to her traumatic past and the town's dark history.
    • Episode 2 – With the case now confirmed a murder, Fia suspects her new partner, Detective Furlong. But she soon discovers the dark secrets of the town have their roots in a more powerful source.
  • March 17th
    • Episode 3 – With the murder victim daughter, Carrie, missing, Fia is in a race against time to uncover the truth. A press conference erupts into allegations of Fia’s father’s involvement with another missing girl, 20 years before.
  • March 24th
    • Episode 4 – As the past and present begin to merge, Fia uncovers the truth behind the abuse of young women in the town. The discovery of a body in the lake points to a darker collusion and the most powerful man in the town – Bill McGuire.
  • March 31st
    • Episode 5 – With her partner Cian Furlong now firmly on her side, Fia takes the law into her own hands in order to get to the truth. A truth that will bring her closer to her own dark, tragic past.
Am I Being Unreasonable?

Am I Being Unreasonable, Season 2

Season 2 of this comedy-thriller picks up right where things left off, with Nic (Daisy May Cooper, Rain Dogs) in the middle of a full-blown panic attack. Facing the possibility of a murder charge, she’s forced out of her family home and left with no choice but to move into a caravan—alongside her unpredictable best friend, Jen (Selin Hizli, Grantchester). Meanwhile, her husband Dan (Dustin Demri-Burns, Slow Horses) embraces rollerblading as his latest mid-life crisis coping mechanism.

Premieres March 12th on Hulu.

Adolescence

Adolescence (2025)

Co-created by Stephen Graham (Boiling Point, A Thousand Blows) and Jack Thorne (Best Interests, His Dark Materials), this crime drama follows a family whose world shatters when 13-year-old Jamie Miller (Owen Cooper, Wuthering Heights) is arrested for murdering a classmate. Told in real time, each of the four episodes is filmed in a single continuous shot, capturing the raw emotions of the teen’s family and the detectives handling the case.

The limited series stars Stephen Graham as Jamie’s father, Eddie Miller, alongside Ashley Walters (Top Boy) as DI Luke Bascombe, Faye Marsay (Black Mirror) as DS Misha Frank, and Erin Doherty (A Thousand Blows) as clinical psychologist Briony Ariston.

Premieres March 13th on Netflix.

I Literally Just Told You premieres March 14th

I Literally Just Told You, Seasons 1 & 2 (2021 to present)

Jimmy Carr (The Fix) hosts this new game show where contestants must rely on both general knowledge and memory to win up to £25,000. Unlike traditional quizzes, the questions are written live during filming, covering anything from celebrity cameos to off-the-cuff jokes or even personal details contestants reveal. Four players compete to bank cash before facing memory-based elimination rounds. In the final showdown, the last two standing pick questions for each other, testing who can recall the most from the show to claim the jackpot. 

Premieres March 14th on BritBox.

Ludwig premieres March 20th

As John navigates his brother’s world, he must use his expertise in cryptic puzzles to solve the biggest mystery of his life. Anna Maxwell Martin (Motherland, Line of Duty) stars as James’ wife, Lucy, alongside Dipo Ola, Gerran Howell, Izuka Hoyle, Dylan Hughes, and Dorothy Atkinson. Two episodes premiere, followed by one episode weekly after that (total of 6 hour-long episodes).

Wolf Hall: The Mirror & the Light

Wolf Hall: The Mirror & the Light (2025)

Based on The Mirror & the Light, the final novel in Hilary Mantel’s Wolf Hall trilogy, this historical drama follows Thomas Cromwell’s last years as he navigates power, survival, and loyalty in the court of Henry VIII. Oscar and BAFTA winner Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies) reprises his role as Cromwell, alongside Emmy winner Damian Lewis (Homeland) as Henry VIII.

The story begins in 1536, after Anne Boleyn’s execution, as Cromwell rises in influence while Henry finds brief happiness with Jane Seymour (Kate Phillips, Miss Scarlet). But under Henry’s unpredictable rule, no one’s position is secure.

Returning cast members include Claire Foy, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Jonathan Pryce, joined by newcomers Alex Jennings, Lydia Leonard, Timothy Spall, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers.

Premieres March 23rd on PBS.

Big Boys

Big Boys, Season 3

In the final season of this award-winning comedy, Jack (Dylan Llewellyn, Derry Girls), Danny (Jon Pointing, Plebs), Corinne (Izuka Hoyle, Ludwig), and Yemi (Chewing Gum) face their last year at Brent Uni, juggling dissertations, deadlines, and dating. Meanwhile, Jack’s mum, Peggy (Camille Coduri, Doctor Who), and cousin Shannon (Harriet Webb, The Tower) navigate new relationships and the chaos of parenthood. Dead in the Water, Season 1 (2024)

In 1978, young British couple Chris Farmer and Peta Frampton were murdered while sailing off the coast of Guatemala, their bodies discovered bound, tortured, and weighed down with engine parts. Their last letter home mentioned traveling with an American man and his two sons, but for nearly 40 years, no one was able to find their killer. This documentary series from Raw (Don’t F**k with Cats, The Tinder Swindler) follows British journalist Penny Farmer, Chris’s sister, as she relentlessly investigates the case. With a shocking breakthrough via Facebook, she finally tracks down Silas Boston and his sons, uncovering the harrowing truth behind the murders that haunted her family for decades.

Million Dollar Secret

Hosted by Peter Serafinowicz (The Gentlemen, The Tick), this reality series is a high-stakes game of deception. Twelve strangers arrive at a lavish lakeside estate, each receiving a mysterious box—eleven are empty, but one holds $1,000,000. The winner gets to keep the money, but only if they can keep their identity hidden. As cunning challenges expose clues, the millionaire must outsmart the others to protect their Million Dollar Secret.

Premieres March 26th on Netflix.

Call The Midwife

Call the Midwife, Season 14

The new season of this long-running period drama brings Poplar into the 1970s, a decade of change and upheaval. As activists on the Isle of Dogs fight for independence, Dr. Turner (Stephen McGann) and the midwives work to keep their clinic running amid the unrest. Meanwhile, Nonnatus House continues to face the challenges of poverty, poor housing, and evolving healthcare—along with a baffling case of apparent immaculate conception.

Returning cast members include Judy Parfitt as Sister Monica Joan, Jenny Agutter as Sister Julienne, Laura Main as Nurse Shelagh Turner, Helen George as Nurse Trixie Aylward, and Cliff Parisi as Fred Buckle.

MobLand

Mobland (2025)

Guy Ritchie’s latest crime drama follows Conrad Harrigan, a powerful crime boss battling for control within a global syndicate. Pierce Brosnan (James Bond films) stars as Harrigan, with Helen Mirren (The Queen) as his formidable wife, Maeve, and Tom Hardy (Venom: The Last Dance) as the family’s ruthless fixer, Harry Da Souza.

The ensemble cast also features Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon), Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey), Lara Pulver (Da Vinci’s Demons), Anson Boon (Pistol), Mandeep Dhillon (CSI: Vegas), Jasmine Jobson (Top Boy), and Geoff Bell (Top Boy).
