Spring is just around the corner, and Acorn TV has a new lineup of shows to help tide us over until it's warm enough to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Continuing British TV Shows on Acorn TV in MArch 2024
Murdoch Mysteries, Season 17
This long-running Canadian period mystery follows William Murdoch, a Victorian-era detective who uses rapidly evolving forensic techniques to solve crimes in new ways. Watch the new season HERE.
The new season will air as follows:
- March 4th: Episode 3
- March 11th: Episode 4
- March 18th: Episode 5
- March 25th: Episode 6

Madame Blanc Mysteries, Season 3
Season 3 of this popular, France-based (but English-language and filmed in Malta) cosy mystery kicked off with a Christmas special back in December. Now, the series continues with a two episode premiere and additional single episodes weekly.
The series follows Jean, an antiques dealer whose husband was found dead in the south of France on his way back from a routine buying trip. She soon discovered he'd left her penniless, and she headed down there to unravel the mystery of his death and her newfound poverty. Along the way, she meets new friends and builds a life that's full of fun, adventure, and a bit more than her fair share of homicide.
Season 3 episodes will continue in March as follows:

The Graham Norton Show, Season 31
This popular British celebrity talk show returns for another season with guests like singer Kylie Minogue, actor Stephen Graham (Boiling Point), and actor-writer David Mitchell (Peep Show).

Tea With the Dames (2018)
Roger Mitchell directs this delightful docu-gathering of four of Britain's most legendary actresses: Dame Maggie Smith, Dame Judi Dench, Dame Eileen Atkins, and Dame Joan Plowright. Friends for decades, the four ladies come together in the countryside for a weekend of reminiscing about their careers, personal lives, and the challenges they faced while breaking ground for women in the performing arts.
The conversation flows naturally, covering a wide range of topics from their early days in theatre to their experiences in film and television, and even touching on aging and the wisdom that comes with it. Watch it HERE.

Britain's Most Scenic Counties: Norfolk & Suffolk (2024)
Actor Bill Nighy narrates this celebration of two of England's lovely eastern counties, Norfolk and Suffolk. With its dramatic coastlines, ancient woodlands, and rich farmland, the area is known as the breadbasket of Britain, but it's also famous as a holiday destination. Along with the stunning scenery, the series introduces us to locals living and working in the region – from farmers and traders to those who make their living catering to holidaymakers. Acorn TV March 18th PremierES
This is Going to Hurt (2022)
Based on former doctor Adam Kay's memoirs, this medical drama focuses on the lives of junior doctors working in an NHS hospital's obstetrics and gynaecology ward. Though a bit gruesome and certainly not to everyone's taste, it's a realistic look at the effects the work has on the young doctors who dedicate their lives to helping women.
Ben Whishaw stars as Adam Kay, and Ambika Mod takes on the role of colleague Shruti Acharya. You can watch it HERE.

Total Control, Season 1
This Australian political drama follows Rachel Anderson (Rachel Griffiths), the ambitious and highly strategic Prime Minister of Australia. Struggling with her image, she plots to use a charismatic and heroic Indigenous woman, Alex, to boost her popularity.

How to Paint the Mona Lisa (2021)
Artist and first-time TV presenter Adebanji Alade brings us along as he sets out to recreate the Mona Lisa using traditional methods – despite never having seen it in person. Meanwhile, historian Martin Kemp offers historical context and a discussion of why the Mona Lisa remains one of the world's best-known paintings.
The Man Who Died (2022, Finnish)
Based on the bestselling novel by Antii Tuomainen, this darkly funny six-part series stars Jussi Vatanen as Jaakko, a mushroom entrepreneur who learns he's been the victim of a slow poisoning. With his days numbered, he sets out to find the killer. Though people are dying all around his investigation, he's having the time of his life.
