After months of questions, we're pleased to say that Acorn TV's July 2025 schedule includes something that many have been waiting on since last December's Christmas special aired in the UK – a new season of Madame Blanc Mysteries! But of course, that's not the only thing in store for this month. Keep reading for the full schedule with descriptions…
Shows Continuing on Acorn TV in July 2025
Murdoch Mysteries, Season 18
At the turn of the century, Detective William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson, Baking All the Way, Casino Jack) solves gruesome murders in Toronto using innovative techniques like fingerprinting, ultraviolet lighting, and trace evidence. This season, he turns down a promotion to Inspector to stay in the field, tackling complex crimes. In the new season, the stationhouse welcomes Albert Choi (Paul Sun-Hyung, The Mandalorian, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Kim’s Convenience), a respected and good-humored addition to the team.
Episodes will air as follows in July:
- FINALE – July 7th: Episode 22 – “We Take Care of Our Own” – With former Constable Tucker’s murder making salacious headlines, Brackenreid urges Murdoch to get a confession from gangster Tony Petrucci, who escaped custody. Meanwhile, things take a dark turn for Currant when he is attacked and left for dead.

Art Detectives (2025)
DI Mick Palmer (Stephen Moyer, True Blood) and DC Shazia Malik (Nina Singh, Virdee) work together for the Met's smallest department, Heritage Crime. When cases related to arts, culture, and antiquities arise, they're sent in to investigate – whether it's a dead art historian or a stolen Viking hoard, they use their specialised knowledge to get at the truth.
Episodes will premiere as follows:
- July 7th:
- FINALE – Episode 6, “Final Bid” – Mick is trying to track down his missing dad when he’s asked to investigate a theft. A vase has been stolen from a locked vault with no sign of break in. Shazia identifies the suspects but when one turns up dead, the case turns into a murder enquiry.

July 7th Premieres
Madame Blanc Mysteries, Season 4
Season four of The Madame Blanc Mysteries returns to Sainte Victoire, where antiques, murder, and mystery continue to fill the sunny village. Sally Lindsay (Coronation Street) reprises her role as Jean White, who is now exploring a new romance with her friend and colleague Dom Hayes, played by Steve Edge (Starlings).
Sue Vincent (Mount Pleasant) returns as mechanic Gloria Beaushaw. Robin Askwith (Strike) and Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses) are back as the eccentric couple Jeremy and Judith Lloyd James. Alex Gaumond (Derry Girls) once again appears as Chief of Police André Caron. The cast also includes Tony Robinson (Blackadder) as Dom’s uncle Patrick, a small-time thief turned pub landlord, and Paul Chuckle (Elliott) as Trevor, Gloria’s father.

- Episode 1, “Christmas” – Jean and Dom investigate when a puppeteer is murdered after a Christmas Eve performance at a Sainte Victoire market. Meanwhile, Judith receives a card from a former bridesmaid that contains a disturbing truth about her marriage.
- Episode 2, “Beach Club” – When Jeremy and Judith discover the body of a missing CEO inside a dingy with two rare coins placed over his eyes, Caron asks Jean for help in identifying the coin's history. Meanwhile, Patrick looks into some suspiciously expensive wine payments.

- Episode 3, “Inheritance” – When Charlie's aunt Fifi is mysteriously murdered after an intruder breaks into the shop, Jean tries to find the killer.

- Episode 5, “The Blueprint” – Jean and Dom travel to Malta to help a couple, Margot and Bobby, authenticate a copy of the blueprints for the
capital city, Valletta. But when Margot is attacked, Jean suspects the pair have the original blueprints and are being

Britain's Biggest Dig (2020)
This documentary series follows one of the largest archaeological excavations ever undertaken in the UK, triggered by the construction of the HS2 high-speed rail line. As teams dig through sites in London and Birmingham, they uncover graves, artifacts, and traces of long-forgotten communities, revealing new insights into British life across the centuries. Three episode binge premiere.
Swimming with Men (2018)
A middle-aged man joins an all-male synchronised swimming team as his personal life begins to fall apart. What begins as a quirky pastime turns into a source of friendship and renewed purpose as the team trains for a world championship. The cast includes Rob Brydon (Gavin & Stacey), Rupert Graves (Sherlock), Jim Carter (Downton Abbey), and Thomas Turgoose (This Is England).

Babylon (2014)
When the Metropolitan Police seek a new public image, Commissioner Richard Miller (James Nesbitt, Bloodlands) brings in PR expert Liz Garvey (Brit Marling, The OA) to lead the effort. Shortly after she starts, a gunman triggers a major citywide emergency, and Garvey is thrust into managing the response. 7 episode binge premiere.
A Stitch in Time (2016)
After leaving Acorn TV back in 2023, this one is back. Amber Butchart takes a look at historical figures through the clothing they wore, while costumer Ninya Mikhaila reconstructs a number of garments using authentic period methods. 6 episode binge premiere.

Battle of the Bagpipes (2024)
This series explores Scotland’s musical heritage through the stories of leading pipers from military and civilian pipe bands. It traces the instrument’s role in major UK events and competitions, highlighting its history and continued significance today. 3 episode binge premiere.
London Irish (2013)
This comedy series follows four twenty-something friends from Northern Ireland as they navigate life in London. Between chaotic nights out, awkward family visits, and questionable decisions, they try to make the most of adulthood—often with disastrous results. Summertide (2024)
This South African drama follows the Field family across multiple generations, along with those whose lives intersect with theirs. Each character carries hidden motives and personal struggles, revealing the complex ties that bind them over time.
Episodes will premiere as follows:

Kostas (2024, Italian Language)
This Greek crime drama follows Homicide Chief Kostas Charitos as he investigates a series of complex cases in Athens. Balancing police work with family life, he uncovers the city’s darker corners while navigating personal and professional challenges. Based on the novels by Petros Markaris.
