If you've ever watched and enjoyed Rick Steves, you'll definitely want to check out the Footloose travel videos from Dave and Debra Rixon. Like Rick
Steves, Dave and Debra make travel videos about various European destinations – but unlike Rick Steves, their videos are delightfully in-depth. Instead of a 20-minute overview, they typically offer 1.5-2.5 hours of scenery and commentary.
Sadly, Amazon's Prime Video program has been cutting back on the amount of non-fiction programming they offer from independent producers, so Dave and Debra are no longer able to offer all the titles as free to view with Amazon Prime (where Amazon pays producers based on views they receive). If you've been putting off watching, it's a good idea to get in a viewing now because there's no telling when or if Amazon will drop more of them.
To ensure people could continue to enjoy their titles, the ones that have been dropped are available to rent or buy. Since it's (understandably) a little more difficult to navigate all the options now, we've gathered up all their videos below, along with links for where you can stream them.
If you prefer to purchase DVDs, that's also an option. They make region-free DVDs, which means you don't need to worry about which country your DVD player is encoded for. You can CLICK HERE to view their shop. Keep in mind that some titles (like Footloose in Tallinn, Footloose in Dubrovnik, etc.) are bundled together under the title: Footloose in Europe: City Breaks for streaming purposes.
