After a short February, March brings us *5* separate Mondays packed full of new releases on Acorn TV – including a new season of the long-running favourite Murdoch Mysteries.
Shows Continuing on Acorn TV in March 2026
The Family Next Door (2025)
Isabelle (Teresa Palmer, A Discovery of Witches, Warm Bodies) arrives in a quiet seaside cul-de-sac and becomes fixated on an unresolved mystery, her relentless probing gradually placing all four neighboring families under suspicion.
Episodes will air as follows in March:
- March 2nd, Episode 2, “Essie” – Struggling with motherhood, Essie connects with Isabelle after a frightful incident.
- March 9th, Episode 3, “Lulu” – Detective Gillespie pays a visit to Isabelle with news on Pleasant Court and to investigate her.
- March 16th, Episode 4, “Fran” – Struggling with her husband’s depression, Fran is put in a compromised position.
- March 23rd, Episode 5, “Isabelle” – As tensions in the court mount, the truth of Isabelle’s investigation is finally revealed.
- March 30th, Episode 6, “Barbara” (FINALE) – Now burdened with her recent discovery, Isabelle is prepared to destroy one family to heal another.

New Shows on Acorn TV in March 2026
March 2nd Premieres
Murdoch Mysteries, Season 19
Set in early 1900s Toronto, the series follows Detective William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson, Casino Jack, Baking All the Way) as he investigates murders using forensic methods that are unusual for the time. The period setting and focus on early investigative techniques remain central to the show.
Season 19 brings a new group of cases, along with more guest stars and the mix of mystery and lighter moments that has remained part of the series throughout its long run.
New episodes in March are:
- March 2nd – Episode 1, “The Boys are Back in Town” – Murdoch investigates an explosion inside the morgue as a private citizen while he and his fellow officers fight to reopen the station house against Mayor Vaughan’s orders. Features Countess Luann de Lesseps (The Real Housewives of New York).
- March 9th – Episode 2, “Diamonds in the Sand” – Inspector Choi is taken hostage in a roadside inn while transporting a criminal back to Toronto. The Crabtrees must make a difficult decision about their future when George gets a job offer.
- March 16th – Episode 3, “Toronto's Smartest Man” – A contestant is murdered during the “Toronto’s Smartest Man” battle of the wits, leading Murdoch to join the contest to see if he can puzzle out who the killer might be.
- March 23rd – Episode 4, “Unearthing the Past” – Constable Roberts investigates the death of an old friend in his hometown, defying local police who rule it accidental. Murdoch’s son Harry moves in, but it’s a tight fit in his rooming house.
- March 30th – Episode 5, “The Borden Ultimatum” – Murdoch pursues Terrence Meyers who is suspected of murdering two men and committing treason. Watts tracks down a man’s neighbor who vanished while making a chocolate treat.

Agatha Christie's Poirot, Seasons 7-8
Set in Britain between the wars, this adaptation follows Hercule Poirot, Agatha Christie’s meticulous Belgian detective, as he solves murders and other crimes through close observation, careful reasoning, and an exacting attention to detail. David Suchet stars as Poirot, whose investigations take him from country houses and London flats to trains, hotels, and seaside resorts.
Across its long run, the series adapts many of Christie’s best-known stories, combining period detail with intricate mysteries and a strong supporting cast. Suchet’s performance is at the center of the show, giving consistency to a series that ranges from lighter early cases to darker later adaptations. With the addition of seasons 7-8, Acorn TV will have all available seasons.

Total Control
This political thriller begins when the Australian prime minister (Rachel Griffiths, Six Feet Under) tries to use the popularity of an Indigenous woman (Deborah Mailman, Mystery Road) for political advantage, setting off a struggle shaped by ambition, manipulation, and revenge.
In season 3, Alex Irving remains close to the center of power in Canberra, but what she uncovers places her under increasing pressure and forces her to confront the system around her.

March 9th Premieres
A Voyage Round My Father (1982 TV movie)
Set in mid-20th-century Britain, this adaptation centers on the complicated but lasting bond between a son and his father as the son looks back on family life over the years. The story follows that relationship through youth and adulthood, capturing the father’s strong personality, the son’s growing independence, and the tensions that exist alongside deep affection.
Sir Laurence Olivier (Sleuth, Marathon Man) stars as the father, an imposing and eccentric figure whose presence dominates the household. Based on John Mortimer’s autobiographical play, the drama combines family conflict, wit, and memory in a portrait of a relationship shaped by admiration, frustration, and loyalty.
March 16th PremierES
Nautilus (2024)
Inspired by Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, this adventure series follows Captain Nemo (Shazad Latif, Wuthering Heights, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel) as he breaks free from imprisonment and sets out in pursuit of revenge. Along the way, he is joined by an unlikely crew of outsiders, each drawn into a dangerous journey beneath the sea.

March 23rd PremierES
Mystery Road Origin, Season 2
Set in the Australian Outback, this crime drama follows a younger Jay Swan (Mystery Road) as he begins his career in policing and learns to navigate the tensions, loyalties, and buried histories of small-town life. The series combines murder investigations with a strong sense of place, while also exploring the personal experiences that shape Jay long before the events of the later stories.
In the new season, Jay begins looking into a new case only to find the town of Loch Iris closing ranks around him. As he digs further, he uncovers signs of a troubling past that the community has kept hidden for years, with consequences that still reach into the present. The deeper he gets, the more the investigation threatens not only to expose old secrets, but also to drive a wedge between Jay and Mary.
Episodes will air as follows as follows:
- March 23rd, Episode 1 – A new posting to the town of Loch Iris, Jay Swan’s hopes of a new beginning with Mary are shattered when he’s nearly sideswiped by a stolen car, the suspicious death of an elderly nun and a missing child.
- March 30th, Episode 2 – Jay is frustrated at Simmo’s stance that Sister Kerry’s death was an accident. Jay’s brother Sputty is implicated in a murder. No closer to finding Scarlett, Jay has a suspect in his crosshairs.

Canal Boat Diaries, Season 6
In this travel series, videographer Robbie Cumming sets out on a 300-mile narrowboat journey through the Midlands and the north of England, following the region’s winding canal routes. Along the way, he reflects on the places he passes, the history and character of the waterways, and the practical realities of making life on the water work from day to day. 10 episode binge premiere.

The Feud on Shelbury Drive (aka The Feud, 2025)
Emma (Jill Halfpenny, Waterloo Road, EastEnders) and John (Rupert Penry-Jones, MI-5, Match Point) appear to have a comfortable life on Shelbury Drive, where they are part of a close-knit neighborhood. But when Emma plans a kitchen extension, objections from nearby residents begin to strain those relationships.
As tensions build, hidden secrets start to surface and the dispute takes a darker turn. What begins as a home improvement project gradually becomes tied up with suspicion, fear, and Emma’s growing fixation on getting what she wants.
Episodes will air in March as follows:
- March 30th, Episode 1 – When Emma decides to add a kitchen extension, her family's and neighbors' resistance leads to rising tensions. As she pushes forward, secrets emerge, and Emma uncovers startling truths about the seemingly idyllic Shelbury Drive.

The Return (2003 TV Movie)
After serving ten years in prison for killing her husband, a woman (Julie Walters, Billy Elliot, Mamma Mia!) returns home and tries to rebuild her life. But as her memory of the night of the murder begins to come back, new details emerge that cast the case in a different light.
