New Shows Coming to BritBox (US) in June 2026
June 1st Premieres
Vicious (2013 to 2016)
This sitcom follows Freddie (Sir Ian McKellen, The Lord of the Rings) and Stuart (Sir Derek Jacobi, Last Tango in Halifax), a long-term couple who have spent nearly 50 years together in a small London flat. Much of the comedy comes from their constant bickering, old grievances, and mutual put-downs, balanced by the fact that they remain deeply attached to one another. Regular figures in their world include their friend Violet (Frances de la Tour, Outlander), their young neighbor Ash (Iwan Rheon, Game of Thrones), and a small circle of friends and visitors who get drawn into the chaos.
The first season establishes the pair’s daily routine and the relationships around them, following their life in the flat and the tensions, habits, and long history that shape their partnership. In season 2, the same core dynamic continues, but with a few changes in their group that we won't spoil for those who haven't yet seen it. Binge premiere of all seasons (1-2).
June 9th Premieres
Beyond Paradise, Season 4
>Set in the Devon town of Shipton Abbott, the series follows DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall, Sanditon) and his colleagues as they investigate unusual crimes while balancing the personal complications that come with life in a close-knit community. Alongside the weekly mysteries, the show also spends time with Humphrey and Martha (Sally Bretton, Not Going Out) as they build a life together away from the police station.
In season 4, Humphrey and the team take on another run of unusual cases, including one involving a witness who claims a mermaid destroyed a seaweed farm and another tied to a missing treasure map. At the same time, Humphrey and Martha are adjusting to married life when problems with their houseboat leave them needing a new place to live, and Humphrey is faced with a difficult situation that could affect his team. North American premiere, single episodes released weekly for six weeks.

Regular Countdown figures Susie Dent and Rachel Riley are part of the setup, while each episode brings in comedians and guest players to tackle conundrums, word games, and number rounds with varying levels of seriousness. 13 episode binge premiere.

Trigger Point, Season 3
Set in the high-pressure world of bomb disposal, this thriller follows explosives officer Lana Washington (Vicky McClure, Line of Duty) and the teams she works alongside as they respond to major threats in London. The series combines large-scale security incidents with a more intimate focus on the strain placed on officers who have to make life-or-death decisions in seconds.
In this season, Lana is called out after a London black cab is reported as a possible bomb threat in an industrial area. But the situation proves more complicated when a man is found trapped inside with a note demanding a confession. Working with fellow EXPO officer Hass (Nabil Elouahabi, Blue Lights), DS Helen Morgan (Natalie Simpson, Outlander), and DCI Amar Batra (Maanuv Thiara, Landscapers), Lana becomes part of the effort to identify who is behind the campaign and who could be targeted next. US-only premiere, two episodes released on premiere, then four more at a rate of once per week.

Blue Lights, Season 3
Set in Belfast, this police drama follows frontline response officers dealing with the pressures of everyday policing in a city shaped by long-standing tensions, organized crime, and divided communities. Alongside the calls, arrests, and investigations, the series focuses on the officers themselves and the ways the job affects their judgment, relationships, and sense of safety.
In season 3, Grace (Sian Brooke, Sherlock), Annie (Katherine Devlin, The Day of the Jackal), and Tommy (Nathan Braniff) are now two years into the role and more settled in the demands of response work. Their latest cases draw them into the network of professionals who help organized crime operate behind the scenes, while changes in Belfast’s criminal landscape bring a new kind of threat much closer to home. CANADA ONLY (it's already on BritBox US). Two episodes released upon premiere, then weekly episodes for the other six.

A Woman of Substance
Based on Barbara Taylor Bradford’s bestselling Emma Harte novels, this new adaptation follows the rise of Emma Harte, from an impoverished maid in Yorkshire in 1911 to one of the richest women in the world. Jessica Reynolds (House of Guinness, Outlander) and Brenda Blethyn (Vera, Little Voice) play the younger and older Emma, tracing her life across decades as she builds power, wealth, and influence.
The series presents Emma as a woman who refuses to accept the limits placed on her by class, sex, and circumstance, while also charting her roles within a wider family story as daughter, mother, lover, and businesswoman. Rooted in the novels that began with A Woman of Substance, it follows her long climb from domestic service in England to a position of immense success in New York. Two episodes released upon premiere, then weekly episodes for a total of eight.
