ITV has released a new trailer and first-look photos for Season 3 of Trigger Point, hinting at a bigger, tighter manhunt for Lana Washington and her Expo team.
What the New Season of Trigger Point Is About
Across six episodes, Lana Washington (Vicky McClure) and London’s bomb disposal unit face what begins as a single threat and quickly reveals itself as a vendetta. Someone is targeting individuals and demanding revenge, forcing the Expos to work in lockstep with the Police Counterterrorism Unit to identify the bomber before the next victim is chosen. Expect the show’s blend of on-scene procedure, cordon management, and split-second decision making, with cases that connect back to a single, calculating adversary.
Who’s Back (and Who’s New)
Returning cast includes Eric Shango (On the Edge), Nabil Elouahabi (Blue Lights, Unforgotten), Natalie Simpson (North Sea Connection), and Maanuv Thiara (DI Ray, Landscapers). Guest star Jason Flemyng (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) joins the lineup. Vicky McClure remains at the center of it all as Lana, steering a team that has to absorb fresh intelligence while handling live devices under pressure.
Chris Brandon (Bloodlands) is lead writer for Season 3. Episodes are directed by Jamie Donoghue (Doctor Who, A Discovery of Witches) and Audrey Cooke (Trigger Point, DI Ray). The series is produced by Kristian Dench (The Capture, Red Eye) with Kingsley Hoskins (The Road Trip, The Flatshare) as block producer. Executive producers are Jed Mercurio (Line of Duty, Breathtaking), Daniel Walker (Boat Story, The Tourist), Jessica Sharkey (Breathtaking, Derry Girls), Chris Brandon, and Vicky McClure. Where and When to Watch
In the UK, Season 3 will air on ITV1 and STV, and stream on ITVX and STV Player. They haven't named a date at time of writing, but with a trailer and first look images out, we don't expect it will be too much longer.
For U.S. viewers, there's been no official announcement about a streaming home or premiere date. For now, American viewers can catch up with seasons 1 and 2 HERE.
